Francis Michael Albert Simmons 1955-2011 Michael passed away on Dec. 30, 2011 in his home in Francis, surrounded by his family.
Michael was born on Nov. 17, 1955 in Heber City to Doyle P. and Mary Jean McKenize Simmons. He was the oldest of 7 children. Michael married Kay Comer on Oct. 12, 1974 in Coalville and they had 3 sons. He attended South Summit High School and worked for UteLite for 34 years. He enjoyed going to have coffee and talking with his friends at the cutting board in the mornings.
Michael is survived by his wife Kay Comer Simmons; sons: Kelly (Heidi) Simmons, Jack Simmons and Frank Simmons; grandchildren: Katie Simmons and Colby Simmons. His father Doyle Simmons; brothers, Mark Simmons, Keith (Marsha) Simmons, Blaine (Leslie) Simmons; sisters: Karma Ricks, Sandra (Dellray) Priest, Joyce DeLucas, Debbie (Rick) Walsh and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother Mary Jean; brothers: Stanley Jean Simmons and Dennis Ricks, sister Cindy Comer; nephew John Priest; mother and father-in-law Thelma and Frank Comer; grandparents, Albert and Nettie Simmons and Wilbur and Minnie McKenize.

Funeral Services:
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 – 1:00 PM at the Francis City Cemetery. Viewings will be held Fri. Jan. 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Sat. from 11:30-12:30 at the Francis LDS Church, 387 West Last Frontier Lane, Francis, UT. |
